Let us consider a pendulum and three magnets as shown in figure

In order to describe the movement of the pendulum we have to
specify the forces acting on the ball:
- Gravitational force
- Magnetic forces
- Frictional force
- Constraint force (the ball is only allowed to move on a sphere)
I will not derive the mathematical model to describe the
movement even though it is not very difficult.
The result would be an differential algebraic equation (DAE).
